| Recent world events such as the war in Iraq and disasters such as Tsunami point to the fulfillment of ancient prophecies. The Cherokee, Lakota, Hopi, Onondaga and Mohawk have all prophesied of future disasters and the end of the world as we know it. The Bible, Nostradamus, The Mothman Prophecies and Mayan Prophecies also depict the future of our society. The Earth's vibration continues at an accelerated pace and life seems to be anything but peaceful. The question is, "How will you remain grounded and find balance in such difficult times ahead?". While this ancient news may dismay us and give us cause for fear, we can be physically and spiritually prepared for the future. It is more important than ever before that we keep ourselves mentally in balance and spiritually grounded. This is a task in which each one of us is solely responsible for ourselves. The generations that follow us are depending on us to show them the way in how to live without fear during more challenging times than we've ever known previously. More than ever before we must look at the current events of our world and take action to create balance and stability within ourselves and our families. No longer can we close our eyes to what is happening around us as we continue to destroy the Earth Mother with our greed and selfishness. We have created our own future. As the law of nature is true for all of us, "What we sow, we shall also reap." now we will have to live with the choices we have made. During our Pipe Ceremonies and prayers as well as our dreams, the Council and our guides have told us that it is time to prepare the people for the future and to give them encouragement and wisdom in how to stay balanced and grounded in the future. We must not give way to fear, causing us to be tossed around as a small sailboat in high winds on the great sea. Spirit says that many of us have lived our lives in a fast and careless manner and it is time to change that. We absolutely must become conscious and responsible not only for our own lives, but that of Mother Earth. It is time for us to take action to become positive influences of light for a society who will continue to shed many tears. It is more crucial than ever that we create our own sacred space for prayers, meditations and ceremony. Through our sacred ceremonies and our own personal communion with the spirit realm, we will receive information and guidance on how to live. We will receive a calmness and peace that will give us the power to live through difficult times. It is important that each one of us develops and practices our sacred rites as we pass through the veil of uncertainty and traumatic stress. Spirit says that we must remember how to access our own authentic power within. Some of us only know about external power, that which we receive from other people. External power comes in many varieties, a position in life, a uniform, material possessions, always seeking approval and status from others. This is a form of power that can end at any moment. It is not real. When the Great Depression came, many affluent people of great status committed suicide because they identified their power with their possessions. Authentic power is that which comes from within. It is knowing who we are and what our purpose is. It is the ability to look at a situation and see the bigger picture. It is the confidence and faith within ourselves to move in a positive direction, no matter what is before us; to take life's lessons as a gift to help make us stronger. Authentic power comes from knowing that we are not alone and that we have each been given the ability to live without fear and manipulation. Authentic power will not allow us to act as a victim. It will rise within our spirits and our minds to help us remain steady and anchored no matter what else is occurring in our lives. It is not for just "some" of us, it is for "all" of us. The Great Mystery loves all of us equally and wants each of us to learn to live with authentic power. We cannot stop the challenges that will come as a result of how we have lived. But we can prepare ourselves to be anchored when the storm hits. We must choose our friends carefully for negativity can undermine our own progress. We must know the signs of the times and prepare ourselves and our families spiritually and physically. We need to read positive books and attend lectures that will help build our own confidence within. If what you are reading or feeling is negative, come away from it and move toward the light, that which is good and wholesome. Learn to test the information you receive by the amount of light it contains. There will be many who will come to you disguised as teachers who will give negative and false information, causing you to be dependent on them so they can use your energy for their own survival. Listen carefully to your inner voice that will guide you. We must be very careful what we feed our minds through television and outside influences. This is also extremely important for our children and grandchildren as well for we are their role models and they observe us and learn by our own actions. We must be extremely cautious in how we use our energy. There is absolutely no room for negativity and fear. Most of all, we encourage you to create your own sacred space and practice ceremonies and rituals that build your faith and provide you with spiritual guidance. We must each become a beacon of light for others who are fearful and ungrounded. Spend time with Mother Earth. She longs for her children to be healed, to love her and receive energy from her. ...always know that you are never alone and that the Great Mystery walks beside you and is with you on your journey.  |
